Here I am for what is, quite possibly the last film I'll pay to see (excluding IMAX subsidies of course).
And as it was Screen Unseen I decided to sit in the Premier Seats this evening (why haven't I done this for the previous ones is beyond me...Duh!)
The film turned out to be Disorder. A French thriller about a soldier, Vincent (Matthias Schoenaerts) who is struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. After working as part of the security detail at a posh doo he's asked if he'd stay on and 'babysit' the lady of the house, Jessie (the multi-lingual Diane Kruger) and her son. As the film progresses it becomes apparent that all is not as it seems and we're not sure if it's down to Vincent's PTSD..
This film was a slow burner.. The mood and tension builds up gradually..
But ultimately at the end of this fuse there just wasn't enough payload in my opinion..
I think **1/2 stars is a fair verdict for what is a forgettable film..
