Minions (3D)

In Cardiff again this time on my own..
As you can see the film choice is limited so I went for an early showing of this one.. I've enjoyed the Dispicable Me films and the trailer for this one seemed amusing, but I wouldn't class myself as a fan..
In this showing was myself, a father and his daughter plus (disturbingly) two other single, middle aged blokes sat on there own.. Although I don't know why I said disturbingly, I was there...?!?

Anyway on with the film.. This one's a Minions origin story.. They start off as single cell beings and the first third of the film sees them progress though history until 3 of them decide to go off in search of a new boss to work for..
I shouldn't have liked this as much as I did but I found myself warming to their charm as the film went on. The subtle, background jokes always work for me and this film was full of 'em..

Graham had seen that 'The Stath' was in this one so he came along..
I like Mellissa McCarthy.  I don't think Graham's too fond of her though..

This was a funny one though (well I thought so). Jude Law did a good 'Bond' impression too.

Plus 'Stath' took the p!ss out of himself spectacularly..

A well deserved ***1/2 star movie..
