This turned out better than I expected. It looked like a run of the mill 'Diehard' clone on the cover. Even to the point that there were direct scenes taken straight out of it.. As a result you don't need a synopsis..
The 15 certificate definitely helped. This lifted it above this years lame Taken 2 and Diehard 5 as it didn't pandered to the 12a crowd. There's some nice set pieces and the action's relentless.. He says he's going to put a knife in his brain and actually does.. Which is nice.
On the down side there's a couple of HUGE plot holes (to be fair there shed load's of plot holes) but with this type of movie you just accept them and go with the flow..

Overall it was an enjoyable couple of hours, worth a solid ***1/2..
